| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2007 Nose is sour and sharp in an arresting way. Pours deep, slightly muddy brown with no discernable lasting head. The flavour is complex and refreshing with notes of sherbet balanced by notes of honey: the whole sitting with some watermelon and a hint of kiwifruit. Starts odd, finishes very well indeed. muenster (341), Sevierville, Tennessee, USA

Aroma is mild sour apple with some earthy notes. Flavor is initially tart and acidic with sweet caramel toffe notes coming in quickly before a lightly soured fruit finish. Very drinkable. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 31, 2007 Bottle. Pours dark brown with amber highlights. Quite dry on the nose. Sour. Yeasty. Oak. Hint of sour cherry. Fizzy carbonation and a tad thin on the palate. Quite dry flavor profile. Just a tad sour and yeasty. Not nearly as complex and as rich as I like my sours. Fairly one dimensional. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 25, 2007 The aroma is sour with sweet dark malts, fruit, and yeast. The appearance is brown with a small but persistent head. The malt character in this one is more pronounced than in the aged pale. But, it is still a sour beer and not totally to my liking. The palate is a little thin on this one. Overall all I can say is that it’s an improvement over the aged pale. tomthompson89 (1489), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
