The aroma was tart with a strong acidity and an oak presence. The aroma was earthy and had hints of estery cherry character. Some light presence of chocolate was notable as well. The beer poured into the glass clear medium brown with a white low head that did lace the glass. The flavor was grainy and lightly tart with a citrusy acidity. A light presence of chocolate was notable and a tart cherry character coupled with a nice presence of oak. The finish went dry with lasting impressions of fruit and oak. The body was medium light and with a decent level of carbonation the beer was quite refreshing. A nice beer, nothing complex, but still a nice thirst quenching bottle. 25 cl bottle. 17 06 04

11.3 ounce bottle purchased in a mixed 6 pack (on sale) at BevMo in Stockton, CA. Lightly sour, lactic aroma with some metallic notes present. There is also some roasty, chocolate, and banana estery aromas. Pretty nice. Beautiful moderately hazy mahogany body with a reddish garnet coloration present along with a large, frothy, khaki-colored head that leaves some nice lacing. Starts with a very mildly, lightly sour flavoring, which becomes quite sweet and cloying in the middle. A little roastiness with some chocolate flavors are present in the middle. Finishes a bit watery and rather thin. The sourness doesnt really add a whole hell of a lot to this, and it just contrasts and makes the thin body stand out even more and seem more flawed. Pretty boring.

The way I see this beer is the Flemish sour Ale to those who doesn’t like Flemish Sours. Its got a high carbonation, a little bit of malt flavor and only a pinch of sourness. Still very nice.

Bottle, purchased at whole foods. Pours ruby with a big fluffy tan head. Aroma is sweet with a bit of oak, mixed with some fruit notes. Big bold punchy taste, not super sour, more mildly sweet, decent brew.

A good beer but not very true to style. The sourness is very subtle. Light oak in the aroma. A brown, not red beer. Some sourness and I wrote in my notes it was like a Flemish red because I wasn’t sure what I was drinking.

Dark brown pour with minimal head. A nice sour nose. Heavily carbonated and tart with hints of apple.

Thanks to Brewfiend for sharing. Pours a nice dirty brown. Nice dark fruit sweetness with a good aoky sour bite. Great light sour bite on the front palate, but the flavor fades quickely. Decent flavor, but nothing spectacular.

On tap at the Sharp Edge Creekhouse. The pour is nice dark brown but not opaque. It also possesses a dark orangish tinge. The head is a froth of off white. The aroma is not strong but it does have fruity or berry hints floating around the ambient air. The flavor starts with an impressive, but likable, musty taste bud appeal. As you swallow, it turns slightly sour. This is not as sour or sweet as the other Flemish I have had, Roden Classic. This is much milder in the tart department, more mansuetude than I expected. Very well behaved, gentlemanlike manners. Mild and repeatable. Lacks any bitter palate. A friendly beer that is easy to enjoy. The carbonation is mild but pleasantly present. The finish of this brew is amicable at the least. You can drink many of these and never know it had alky in there. Overall an interesting entry, no worries with this beer.
