250 ml Bottle: Pours ruby-brown with quite a bit of odd bubble lacing and a thin off-white head. Aroma is very busy and quite interesting; raisins, plums, molasses, oak are all present in heavy amounts. Flavour was decidedly underwhelming based on my post-aroma expectations, this is a carbonation-heavy mild brew with very little flavour when it’s cold. When I allowed it time to warm I could pick out a distinct red wine and fruity sweetness, but it was still a bit of a stretch. I’d hoped for better.

Nice aroma, wooden, fruity, malty, a little spicy. Dark ruby with a fast dissapearing head. Taste is initally acidic but finishes weak and watery considering this has been aged and matured. Could have been great, but lacks the muscle. Thanks Magdalena

Best before 06.2005 – Clear redbrown body, small beige head, fine lacing; Not to big a nose, what there is , is super pleasant: a fine fruity wooden acidy freshness mixed with cowshit and a little dust; The body is soft with very little sparkle and only very little acidity; It finishes of to short, thin and watery, it has only very little aroma as a mix of wood and rotten apples.

Bottled 33 cl (BB 06/2008). Ruby red color, good off-white head. Nose has sour fruityness and metal. Grassy hoppy flavor, then sourness. Long aftertaste is again hoppy and sour. Slightly metallic. Quite balanced as a sour ale.

Pours clear dark amber with big fizzy off-white head. Yeasty and malty sweet aroma. Some berry feelings as well. Quite spritzy. It has a sweet taste though with caramel and a clear oak-like flavour at the dry end.

Chestnut colour with a beige head. Malty, dark fruit sweet aroma with a light tart note and hints of wood and yeast. Malty, light tart fruity flavor with a vague note of wood.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark garnet colored body under a fizzy light brown head that faded to a thin film quickly. Aroma is lightly tart and acetic with some sour cherry, oak tannins, and candied fruit. Flavor is acetic and biting up front but the finish is sugary and dry with a nice muted oak character. Almost a light brett-like presence late in the finish? Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a fizzy efforvescent carbonation that makes for a lively feel. Overall, this was pretty basic and pedestrian for a Flemish Sour, but I’ll take a half-decent Flemish Sour over most styles top rated beers any day.

This ale poured a dark orange with a off white head. This beer to the nose is very strong scented with cider vinegar and very ripe fruit. almost fermented ripe fruit. First taste wasthinner than I thought it might be. Sour to taste with the cider vinegar taste coming through slowly. Slightly metallic with a stomach acid flavour to the palate. Very different.
