Pours brown with a tan head. The aroma is barnyardy, earthy, fruity, and sour. Flavor is mild with a mild sour impact on the palate along with elements of some fruit and spice.

Pours brown with a decent light brown head. Smells of funk, wood, earthy hops, some fruitiness. Taste is more sweet than sour with some decent fruity elements.

Cola colored- white head – faint nose of sour raspberries, maple syrup, green vegetation and mold – taste is initially malt then sour raspberries as one swallows, medium body – aftertaste short

I grabbed a bottle of Petrus Oud Bruin hoping for a good surprise in a style I already love. The pour did not radiate optimism, leaving me rather impassive to its vapid brown body and fizzy gray head. Nonetheless, the nose successfully combines natural aromas of green apples, brown sugar, pepper, and caramel to surprising scents of soap, banana yoghurt, leather and chocolate chip cookies. This sweet and airy fragrance does not translate well onto the palate, unfortunately, as it seems faint and watered down. Flavors of sour cherries, grapes, oak, coffee, caramel and a slight metallic tone blend with little impact, seemingly sharing a will to vanish in neutrality. The Flemish Sour Ale generally resounds as a strong and characterful style, but this example is decidedly antagonistic.

Tried in Belgium but now also available at the IBS Perth. Cherry aroma - aged - musty. Deep cherry body with light tan head, reasonable sweet taste that is not too overpowering. Some spice, cloves zestiness throughout.

It’s like liquid Sweet Tarts®. This stuff will get your gal power-drunk since it has none of the beer qualitites we all love. This will straighten her angles and solve her problems. Delicious stuff. Like a La Folie Light.

Bottle. Clear reddish brown in colour with an off-white head. Malty and sweet but at the same time it has a feel of vinegar and citrus. Hints of caramel and wine.
