| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Apr 26, 2006 From a 11.2 oz bottle from the package store. Pours an extremely clear, reddish-brown with a very finely bubbled head. Sweet smelling, varguely floral. No ’beer’ aroma at all. The taste starts with an immediate cranberry tang and finishes with a subtle hop bitterness. The body is refreshingly light, while maintaining that characteristic Belgian fullness. Not a ton of depth in the flavor. Seems almost too easy to drink to be a beer. I can see gulping this down on a Friday night (if it weren’t for the cost) or just enjoying a single glassfull. I like it a lot. Man, I wish I could find *this* on tap. Tubbfan (144), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Apr 23, 2006 My bottle claims this is a 5.5% abv brown ale matured in oak barrels for 20 months. Well, I can tell you I produce a better brown ale in three weeks. It pours a dark, clear brown, but thin head and almost no lacing. There is no aroma or flavor to speak of. Thin body with no carbonation. What a waste of time in those oak barrels. I don’t even taste the oak! SSSteve (2090), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
