| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2005 One of the six Petrus beers from a gift pack, this one pours a clear amber color with a pertinent light tan frothy head that after depletion leaves a fine veil of lace upon the glass. Nose has a crisp citrus like front wit ha bit of malt at the back; start is somewhat sweet, nice grain presence and the top light to moderate in feel. Finish is sternly acidic, the hops benign in their spiciness, desert bone dry, and a fine brew to start off a Sunday afternoon of sampling.

Taste with the guys of Institut de la Bière
I don’t like the so-called ’Special’ style. You never know what to expect.
This one was uninteresting/tedious. Light to medium body. Metallic flavors. Kinda wishy-washy… well, a not so special special.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 22, 2005 Gold/dark straw colored, with some pale malty and hopcity aromas. The taste is uninspiring, with some hoppy citrus and honeyish malt. My least favorite Petrus brew from their 6-bottle variety box. pintbypint (1008), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 17, 2005 250ml brown bottle. Deep gold to orange pour, head was billowy and full but short lasting, left lots of lacing however. Honeyish, fruity and floral aroma. Flavour is at once rather hoppy, then somewhat rough and grainy. Trace acidity. Acrid finish - lingering aftertaste of hops, slight metallic. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 11, 2005 Bottle (250ml). Poured slightly hazy gold with a large white foamy-creamy-rocky beige head. Aroma - well, there’s some intriguing sourness here, not a geuze but I’m interested enough to continue, yeasty funky malt that it is .... Taste is a disappointment - more harshly bitter grain and a little spice than that cheesy-funky sourness - sourness increases a tad on warming. Boo. Mouthfeel average and boring. Shame, was hoping to clean my teeth with that sourness .... CampbellWilson (533), Scotland
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 7, 2005 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Amber with frothy beige head. Great aroma of floral hop, reminiscent of Poperrings Hommellbier. An acidic, metallic note in the flavour and finish completely ruined it for me, unfortunately. pivnizub (5048), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 6, 2005 Bottle: Orangey to light amber coloured; firm, thin lacing head; floral hoppiness, honey and alcohol in the nose, a bit "earthy"; lively carbonation; dry malty start, moderate bitter flavour; dinstinctive hoppy bitterness in the finish; quite good !
