Hazy golden color with thick foamy white head, lace. Mild nose has citrus and some fruity sweetness. Crisp carbonation. Attacking citric flavor with some bitterness and alcoholic warming in the aftertaste. I can trace some sweet notes also underlying there. Quite basic Belgium, drinkable but not very complex. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2005 This beer kind of strikes me as a "beginner’s Belgian". Pours a cloudy dark yellow color with a thick and foamy white head. Decent lacing. Champagne-like aroma with some fruit and yeast. Medium-bodied with a pleasantly fruity flavor, along with some yeast, pepper and light hops. The finish is citrusy and lightly spiced. The beer is well done, and despite not being very complex it is a pretty tasty brew. RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
