| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 16, 2009 Bottle literally gushered upon opening. Rescued 1/3 of the bottle in a tulip. Massive bright white head leaves spider lacing as it recedes. Sweet caramel aromas. Sweet and spicy from front to back. A little flattened due to the gusher, but I I liked what I was able to save... syton98 (44), USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 21, 2009 A very solid beer. I had it as Petrus Goulden Triple and I was very pleases. Loght gold in color with a big head. Some lacing. Taste was "spicy" with a hit od sweetness. It left you wanting more. I realy enjoyed this beer a nice surprise as I normally perfer a darker beer. The goulden Trible is in a different bottle with a caracture of a monk on it. RollinHard (764), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Pours straw/gold with a fluffy white head. Nice aroma, especially when warm and with the dregs poured in. Honey, grass, hay, oaked chardonnay, lime, grapes, more green fruit than usual. Tastes similar with honey, earth grass, hay, grapes, wood. Finishes dry, earthy, and dusty. Flavors come together nicely and everything is pretty mellow. HIghly carbonated, but smooth and creamy-light mouthfeel. Subtle, and pretty good for it. HighWine (167), , California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 7, 2009 Bottle labeled Gouden Triple. Cloudy golden color with lots of tiny bubbles. Delicate foam head that’s a cross between meringue and sea foam. Peaches, pears, cherries make up avery pleastant, sugary nose. Taste is sour with abrief hop bitterness. Thin and fizzy in your mouth but carries a good flavor for a long time on the palate. nickd717 (1409), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 5, 2009 On tap at Rose & Crown in Palo Alto. Average tripel. Pours a hazy golden yellow color with substantial white head. Yeasty aroma, some light malt, some citrus. Flavor is yeasty and a little bitter and not as smooth as I’d like. Flavor just doesn’t come together the way you’d like it to. But not offensive and easily drinkable. Gmoney (259), ManchVegas, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Bottle (in NZ). A ridiculous gusher, hardly any left in the bottle. What there is, pours a hazy light gold with, not sirprisingly, a very large pillowy white head. Not a lot on the nose, malt with some sweet yeast. Orange and spice in the mouth, with a dry and spicy finish with some spritz. Some metallic hints. Shame it was such a gusher, I would have liked more.
