Certainly looks the part, and festive with it. Twigs of sediment for the foolhardy. Lines the glass lacily. Shares Palm and Badger’s sourly metallic yeasty sharpness. Fruity, dryish and aromatically boozy. Maybe a touch of bread and cherry-stone tartness. A little lightweight for a winter brew, but a refreshing variation. alexanderj (2271), Chino Hills, California, USA

33cl bottle from Bottle Stop in Bramhall. Like so many Bavik beers, almost great, it’s just lacking a few important ingredients. Aroma is typical yeasty Belgian. Great amber colour but the consistency and the head let it down a little. Flavour is malty and slightly acidic with a little toffee and some spruce. Palate lets it down once more. It’s kind of thin and prickly. The prickly feel washes away all the best bits leaving a salty finish that doesn’t really do it justice. Not bad but I know this brewer can do much better. yespr (12372), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2006 33 cl bottle. Pours orange golden with white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Very round taste dominated by caramel and fruit (yeast I assume). Nice "light" winter/Christmas beer. bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2006 Yum Yum poured a redish brown with good head and good lacing. Aroma was citru/fruity. Flavor was of fruits, apples maybe, hops were a nice balace to cut the sweetneest down, and end on a bitter note. Not sure how this is a winter expected more spices.
