I really didn’t care much for this-very highly carbonated and was only able to get about 4 oz of actual beer in the glass-rest was long lasting foam, so I guess at least it has head retention. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 3, 2005 Bottle and yet another gusher and lost half the bottle: Medium ruby hue with small lasting off-white head and some lace. The aroma has notes of blackberry, currant, cherry, toasted malt, floral and herbal hops, and dusty yeast esters. The taste is moderately sweet and lightly spiced towards the backend. Really is to most boring Petrus beer I have ever had tastewise. The feel is moderately lively and dry. Big deduction for the gusher and lack of palate depth. I’ll stick with a Petrus Bruin to this anyday. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Berry fruity with sweet toffee candy notes. Interesting, though not very wintery. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 6, 2005 Bottle. Some mint and berries in the aroma and flavour. Slightly sugary carbonation, which i didn’t particularly like, light acidity aswell as a slightly watered down finish. A bit dull. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 5, 2005 Bottle @ Beer Circus, Croydon with Duff & Kook. Dark red with an off white head. Aroma is typical of a slightly substandard Belgian beer with some berry fruit. Sweet, trace malt and a load of fruit; blackcurrant, raspberry & blackberry, perhaps. A little dusty with a hint of acidity. ChristianSA (368), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 4, 2005 25 cl bottle; This one was a gusher. Saved most of it into a glas where it appeared with a huge, not very attractive, bigbubbled head, that soon collapss to a thin layer. Sweet Aroma of yeast and alcohol. The extreme carbonation makes it hard to taste the beer, but I get some sweet maltiness with some sour notes. Some faint bitterness in the end. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 31, 2005 Amber colored with a fluffy tan head. Malt, spices and fruit in the rather sharp aroma. Notes of yeast and caramel. Malty and peppery flavor with some sour citrus notes and a dry finish. All right but nothing special. sloth (1678), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
