| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Pours like a brown, with a red-brown color. Taste is a strange but delicious combination of malt and sour cherries, but it is balanced and really works! The tartness lingers on the palate, but does not pucker. Definitely a winter beer. judasbeer (275), Budapest, Hungary
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Dec 25, 2009 0.33l Pours a redish brown color with fizzy, bubbleish, vanishing off-white foam. Aroma of basement, earthy yeast, restrained fruity character with slight lactic acid feel. Discreet sourness with some oak in the mouthfeel. Slightly tart unfruity yeast leads to caramel and lactic-sweetness. Thin, watery body pairs with lifeless carbonation. Somwhat unclear, tart finish. Not too inviting, but quite decent though. stfrancis (30), Heffingen, Luxembourg

Voluminous head, aroma is sweet and has hints of coffee. Taste is bitter sweet, some citrus. Too watery and lacks carbonation. Not anything special. tmoreau (600), Lombard, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Served on tap at the Bavarian Lodge, and dispensed to a piece of Petrus stemware. The color was a fairly clear, lightly ambered brown, with a modest, off white head that diminished to a bubbly ring and film, but left some nice, draping curtains of lacing. The aroma was smooth caramel malt, fruit as figs and plums, light woodiness/tannins, and a touch of sourness. The flavor was similar, with fruit notes that exhibited more of a concord grape taste, a subdued tartness, and light hop bitterness. A nicely mellow, medium bodied Sour. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2009 hey, my first sour ale! that said, i didn’t know what to expect. flavor was mostly chocolate malt with a hefty refreshing sour quality. sort of thin on the palate but the finish was pretty big on it, sort of weird how it all came together. i could see how some people couldnt get into sour ales though, had a sort of leather/wood quality to it. like it’d been left out in the rain. i’ll have to get more into the style someday. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Courtesy of Ramoned. Pours amber with tan head. The aroma seems to have malts mixing seamlessly with earthiness and a bit of dark fruity esters. It has a very light aroma but it is smooth, complex and inviting. The taste is an even mix of malts, a thicket of earthiness and mixing with smooth and blended dark fruity esters with mild acidity like tartness rounding things out.
