kappldav123 (1070), Markkleeberg, Germany Oct 4, 2008 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts malty and dry, the finish is a bit like a red wine, fruity, dry, a bit sourish. Should be sweeter. fonefan (4884), Ulfborg, Denmark Aug 12, 2008 Bottle 50cl @ home. Clear medium brown color with a large, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty caramel, licorice notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Cheap as in looked watery and tasted like a watered down brown ale. Smelled and tasted kind of skunky that I feel beers always taste like this when they are in green bottles. You could taste the high alcohol after taste once the bock taste kicks out after a second for sure and it was slightly unpleasant by the time I finished it. I wouldn’t buy this again and unfortunately they keep restocking this in the store and not the other beers by Pfungstädter that are far better. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden May 26, 2008 Bottled, thanks jeverszeuge! Clear nut brown, creamy head. Caramelly nose. Sweet and soft with flavours of hay, toffee and salt. A malt driven, very correct bock. It does provide what is expected, neither more nor less. ante (2525), Stockholm, Sweden May 10, 2008 Bottled, thanks, omhper. Pours out in a pale brown colour with a rich tan-coloured foam. Toasted malts, berries, metal and grassy hops in the aroma. medium-bodied with surprisingly strong hop notes of grassy hops and metal with undertones of nut-shells and toasted malts. Dryish finish of metallic grassy hops and toasted malts.
