Pours extremely dark ruby, tan head that fades quickly. Aroma of caramel, chocolate bread and some coffee. Decent sweet roasted nut flavor with a creamy mocha underneath. Dry coffee finish. Little bit of undesirable coffee bitterness.

Coffee bean body topped with a small cream head. Deep roast barley fills the nose. Easy roast barley flavor with coffee ground finish. Smooth and simple. Slight burnt black patent character.

Bottle: pours dark black with a thin tan head, aroma of coffee and malt, plenty of coffee taste along with roasted malts, fairly thin mouthfeel.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep coffee brown with a small beige head. Nice nose of fresh coffee and some faint notes of cocoa. Flavor was again mostly coffee with some additional espresso and a bittersweet chocolate finish. A pretty tasty coffee porter, no off flavors.

I hope this makes a comeback! So few porters are being made theses days. This was nice and roasty without being astringent. Coffee nose and subtle flavour. Hops were balanced as not to distract from the joe. Contains caffeine, so don’t drink too many at night.

Tap at Misconduct Tavern. Deep brown beer with a very creamy tan head. Aroma is loaded with coffee and a light minerally maltiness on the back. Nice earthy component with lots of fresh brewed coffee aroma. There is a bit of light cocoa and roast on the back of the beer as well. The beer is lightly swet with a nice soft coffeeish flavour. It’s missing a bit of mid-palate complexity, but it’s still pretty tasty.

Brewed in the USA........ On tap at Capones !! Pours black in color with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark malts and mild hops. Taste has a nice roasted coffee flavor . The mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side, but still very enjoyable to drink.
