Bottle: pours a dark copper color with a frothy white head, aroma of rye and hops, taste is slightly bitter and somewhat bready I guess (must be from the rye), some spices as well. Not a favorite of mine but not too bad either.

does not count  Sep 17, 2008 Another great beer from phialdelphia brewing co. Bottle, poured a nice amber color. Nice ale aroma citrus floral, Decent head. Great hoppy flavor, abrubt aftertases leaving you wanting more.

Sep 15, 2008 12oz bottle, form Capone’s (Norristown, PA). Pours chestnut color, topped with a moderate sized beige head. Aroma is primarily caramel malt, with some citrus, peat, rye, brown sugar and yeast. Aroma is more exciting than the flavor. Caramel hits the palate first, and is soon joined by grapefruity hops and some rye. Rye and peat flavors linger. Decent, sessionable ber.

Sep 6, 2008 Not too bad. Nice malty sweetness with a bit of hop bitterness. Nice color and aroma. My favorite from this new brewery.

Aug 14, 2008 this i thought had a caramel,aroma with a red, hazy, appearance with a minimal head,it had a medium sweetness, with full body,and what i thought was a sticky, feel to average carbonation, long finish. i think it’s an enjoyable red for the backyard as avertised.
