pale yellow colour, slightly sweet bready aroma. the taste is very light, and seems to have some actual malt in it not your usual adjunct loaded international swilllager. trace of bittering hops in the finish. Goes down well in the tropical heat.

Pale yellow, small off-white head. Some cereal malts and vegetable aroma. Light bodied and somewhat sweet. Finish tries to be dry. Not terrible, but not good either.

Bottle. Syrupy sweet barley malt and vegetable aroma. Golden yellow with minimal head. Sweet-sour malt flavor with a bitter finish and a sour vegetable aftertaste. Not horrible and probably way better in the heat of Mauritius.

It’s golden with a white head. The sweet aroma has notes of cabbage and malt. The flavor is slightly sweet with notes of malt, light cabbage, fruit, hay, grapefruit and the finish is dry. Not a big experience, but a new country for me!

Has no aroma to speak of, which gets a 2 in my book, and I’ll save the 1’s for the really off-putting beers. Has a deep gold colour but unfortunately no substantial head. The flavour is all right though, with some sour hops notes amidst grains. but there’s also this weird bitterness on the back end that I find unappealing. Mouthfeel is reasonably crisp though, with no ugly tastes left in your mouth.. Nonetheless I don’t find much to appreciate in this "legendary" beer by any stretch.

Bottle. Low white and quickly disappearing head. Clear golden body. Sweet and weak malt aroma. Sweet mild and watery malt flavor with little hops bitternes, low carbonation and a short aftertaste.
