wyzzywyz22 (314), Wirral, Merseyside, England Jul 8, 2008 Cask, Head of Steam, Liverpool. Had to try this as a prelude to watching one of the greatest men’s finals in wimbledon history...just a pity my money was on Federer ! This was a pale golden affair with a thin white head. Drunk in haste, but very refreshing notes of citrus and hop. Would seek out again.
harrisoni (5121), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 10, 2008 Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Pale gold, thin off white head. Slightly sweaty sox, but a rather good citrusy hoppy beer. Some good hop aroma, nice bite on finish. Typical pale gold Phoenix beer, and I like it. Good biting hop. Daniel_Brown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Jun 29, 2006 Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Another nice Golden from Phoenix, with refreshing fruitiness and crisp hop tang. Lacks the true hop bit of some of their best efforts, and relaxes into a little slushiness midway, but still tasty. Light on the palate with some pale malt present. Hoppy finish. imdownthepub (4017), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Jul 4, 2004 Cask conditioned at The Head of Steam, Euston Statiion, London. Plae gold coloured with a bubbly white head. Light crispy hoppy bitter, perfect for Wimbledon fortnight, despite the constant rain! Grapefruit and lemon notes in a slight malt body, synonymous with the light Phoenix brews. Very pleasant well crafted beer.
