wyzzywyz22 (387), Wirral, Merseyside, England Jul 8, 2008 Cask, Ship and Mitre, Liverpool. Darkish brown with a small muddy coloured head. Sweetish aroma with some fruit and malt present. Smooth and soft mouthfeel. Flavour is quite malty with a slight fruity tang in there and a dry bitter hop finish. Alcohol nicely hidden. Crap name for a half decent beer.
albertane (300), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Aug 27, 2008 Cask at Ye Cracke, Liverpool. This fizzy amber beer has lots of sweet fruity malt and an enjoyable alcoholic kick in the finish. EFC1878 (82), Manchester, Greater Manchester, England Aug 11, 2008 Named after the three-legged cat at the old Ellesmere Port brewery when they were known as Oak. Dark amber in colour with a thin head. Predominately malty nose with hints of fruit. Slightly sweet taste initially with plenty of fruit resolving to a bitter finish. Light body for its strength can easily lead you astray. tarjei (1300), Bryne, Norway Jul 20, 2008 1/2 pint handpulled cask at Ship & Miltre, Liverpool. Amber to brown color, nice cream color head.
