Cask, Ship and Mitre, Liverpool. Darkish brown with a small muddy coloured head. Sweetish aroma with some fruit and malt present. Smooth and soft mouthfeel. Flavour is quite malty with a slight fruity tang in there and a dry bitter hop finish. Alcohol nicely hidden. Crap name for a half decent beer.

Cask at Ye Cracke, Liverpool. This fizzy amber beer has lots of sweet fruity malt and an enjoyable alcoholic kick in the finish.

Named after the three-legged cat at the old Ellesmere Port brewery when they were known as Oak. Dark amber in colour with a thin head. Predominately malty nose with hints of fruit. Slightly sweet taste initially with plenty of fruit resolving to a bitter finish. Light body for its strength can easily lead you astray.

Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW), Soton. Copper. Over sweet and intense caramel. Crude and unenjoyable.
