Pale, clear body with an avg. sized white head. Some sporadic carbonation. Not bad. Basic lager flavor with a fair amount of carbonation. Refreshing. Not bad for a lager. mongkut4 (132), Florida, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Mar 22, 2006 I usually have low expectations when it comes to beer produced in Thailand having lived there several years ago. This beer is typical of some of the lighter Thai lagers and although fairly bland is easy to drink in tropical heat. Unfortunately it is a little too bland to compliment spicy Thai food. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 20, 2006 Poured a clear golden yellow color with a thin white head. Typical aroma of a pale lager in a green bottle that has traveled around the world. Corn and light skunk. Initial sweetness turns thin and watery. Mild bitterness on the finish. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 18, 2006 Updated: Mar 23, 200611.2 oz. loose bottle from Sam’s, Downers Grove, "Best By 12/11/06."< src=http://markmcdermott.home.mindspring.com/BeerA align=right> Nothing like borrowing Siskel & Ebert’s old "Aroma the Educated Skunk" gag to rate yet another country’s Heineken wannabe in a green bottle. Okay, it pours a decent looking pale pils yellow, with a stiff, finely bubbled head. But the skunk and oxidation hit me as I first pry the cap. After that, though, the taste isn’t really too bad; some maltiness countered by standard European hops. A bit grainy, and pretty buzz inducing. Nothing about it says “Thailand.“ True, this probably would go down better on a hot tropical island. You’d think with a name like "Phuket" (henh! heh!) more people would have rated this by now!
