Phuket Lager Beer

Good enough as tropico-lager goes. Was lucky to get one that wasn’t skunked, and I could detect a decent noble hop aroma. Flavor was very light, somewhat fruity, nothing really off, but nothing to write home about. Very light hop profile.

The aroma when I first popped the bottle was horrific. Skunky to say the least. But the taste was not as bad as the aroma leads one to believe. Yet there is still not much to say about it.

Pours blond with a quickly disappearing head. Smells almost like vomit.. a bit sour with some bitterness in it (yes I just analyzed vomit smell). Initial taste is pretty bad. The finish actually has a decent malt flavor, but wow...wouldn’t recommend this one.

Skunky. When we start PUBlicly executing brewers for using green bottles perhaps they’ll stop. Weak white head, light yellow piss water pour, beyond the skunk not much taste. Completely worthless. They imported this crap all the way from Thailand? Why?

A golden yellow color with a nice head. Then there was this light struck smell and off lager flavors that made this a light plae lager with very little flavor and very little life. Yuck...

12oz bottle, best before 5/25/07. pale golden with a minimal white head. Mild hop aroma; smelled a bit skunky. Thin bodied, malty with a bit of grassy hops at the end. Another generic pale lager, along the lines of Kingfisher/Sandpiper/Taj Mahal etc.

This beer is rated too low. Its not that it is a good beer, its more that so few other pale lagers are good beers. The aroma is of Saaz hops but that doesn’t translate to the flavor. There the prominent taste is of biting bitter hops. Some grassy corn can be found. Despite a weak style I found this one interesting.

good drinking, anytime beer. Not too pungent, but still has a slightly flowery aroma to it. A beer that you can drink all night and not get filled up on. A little on the pricey side though.
