JMerritt (1106), Macomb, Illinois, USA Feb 13, 2008 Straw colored with a tiny head that is totally diminishing. Aroma is of corn, sweet grains (straw and hay) - pretty standard fare for a low-grade lager. Flavor is initially of sweet grains followed by a most definitely metallic note. Finish is semi-sweet, mildly sour. Carbonation level is too high. Upon further tastes, lightly sweet malts become noticeable in middle of flavor profile. Overall, forgettable yet mostly inoffensive lager.
JorisPPattyn (4276), Antwerpen, Belgium Aug 30, 2008 Small white head over deep-golden beer with slow bubbling; Slightly roasted, caramel nose, a bit of solvent/glue. More caramel & cookie in the taste. Faint sweetness, little else; drier finish with straw. Bit sticky MF, hinting at some sugar, hidden by the temperature. Yet watery. Inoffensive, lethaly boring. yespr (6259), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a collapsing white head. Dry malty to cardboardish aroma. Flavour is flat cardboard, vaguely spiced and dry malty. Ends with a lasting dry malty/cardboard flavour. Close to terrible. larsniclas (2795), Gothenburg, Sweden Jul 27, 2008 Bottled at some Thai-place in Dublin.
Pale golden with a brief, white head.
Sweet and artifical maltiness.
Pretty sour with some weird licorice/marcipan-flavour. KimJohansen (3171), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden with medium head. Sweet with mild cardboard and grainy notes. cellar (328), Dublin, Ireland Jul 12, 2008 Clear golden, long lasting head, notes of grains, grass, cardboard, some fruit, Flavour is sweet and lack of finish... maybe better a warm day in Thailand!
