chris_o (4395), London, Greater London, England May 5, 2008 Cask (handpump) at the Wenlock Arms, April 2008. Dark red/brown. Loose beige head. Smooth malty aroma. Quite roasty with plenty of liquorice and milky chocolate. Fairly full mouthfeel for a mild. Pictish are normally more associated with pale beers but this one demonstrates that they do pretty well on the darker side too. Good stuff.
harrisoni (4722), Ashford, Kent, Kent, England Apr 25, 2008 Cask handpull at Wenlock Arms. Roasty toasty aroma. Good choc in mouth. Rather good to be honest. Good choc nice toasty aroma and flavour. Full of flavour. thewolf (3180), Kolding, Denmark Apr 24, 2008 Cask @ The Wenlock Arms, London.
Pours deep brown with a small, creamy yellow-beige head. Aroma has plenty of coffee and lots of dark chocolate with a touch of smoke. Nice carbonated, fine creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is truly great, good coffee, light chocolate, very dry. All is wonderfully balanced. Mes_and_Sim (3885), London, Greater London, England Apr 22, 2008 A Mes rate: Cask at the Wenlock. Dark dark ruby with a thin off white head and lots of lace. Lovely aroma of smoky and roasty malt and good bitter chocolate. Flavour is stunning. Rich tarry malt, beautiful bitter coffee and chocolate, glorious dryness and all round drinks just like a mild should. An absolute cracker as I have come to expect from Pictish.
