On tap at the brewpub and served in a tulip glass with an orangy amber hue. The head was a finger’s width of good, off white foam and some clingy, lasting lace. The aroma was a well rounded nose of bright citrus and mid-toned fruit, tempered by malt sweetness and a little resin. The flavor added appropriate bitterness, with lurking alcohol warmth that finally caught up to me toward the bitter/dry finish. Full bodied, not syrupy, but clean. Capped off my evening nicely, even after FoBAB.

Draught at the BrewPub: Aroma of hops, pine, citrus, and caramel malt. Poured amber/copper in color with a tiny, off-white head that only lasted around the edges. Hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor was light to medium bitter. Tates of hops, pine, citrus, and a hint of alcohol. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Dry, hoppy, resinous finish. 9.5%ABV is very well hidden.

Hazy amber-gold with a thin white head. The nose is quite piny and resiny. Lots of orange and citrus with a little bit of sweet pale malt, although it successfully avoids the booziness and stickiness of many DIPAs. A nice lingering pine and a lot of other fruity flavours. Fresh and pretty tasty.

On tap at piece. Pours a clearish amber with almost no head. Smells of hops and a hint of alcohol. Strong hoppy aromas. Fruity and citric – pineapple. Soft carbonation. Full bodied. Some alcohol notes in the finish.

GTMW 2009. Poured a clear medium orange color with a creamy white head. Pleasant citrus, apricot, and caramel aromas. Medium bodied and slightly sweet with the flavors following what I detected in the nose. Mild hop bitterness. Very nice beer.

This was by far far the best beer they had to offer. This one definitely gets you where you want to be. Dark orange with golden highlights and a thick creamy head, leaving behind some nice sticky lacing afterwards. Strong fruity aroma, complimenting all the citrus bitterness, with a sappy pine tree component that follows every sip. Full bodied and extremely enjoyable, I would drink this pint after pint.

Sampled at GTMW 2009 (Madison, WI). Pours a dark golden clear pour, creamy white that sticks around small, laces ok. Aromas are tropical fruits up front, caramel and pale malts with good hoppy bitterness, decent body, aromas. Flavor brings the bitterness with faint pine and florals showing up on the finish. Flavor is full and enjoyable, leaving pleasant bitterness as well as pretty good balance.

On tap at Piece. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is of floral hops, citrus, pine, and caramel. Taste is of resiny floral hops. Nice big hop presence in this beer. There is also lots of pine and citrus. Backbone of caramel malt evens the beer out nicely. Very big alcohol burn is present. Each sip finishes with lots of pine and hops. Mouthfeel was sticky, but strangely soapy. Aside from that, it was a very good and easy drinking beer, despite the high alcohol content.
