Aroma is of floral hops, citrus, pine, and caramel. Taste is of resiny floral hops. Nice big hop presence in this beer. There is also lots of pine and citrus. Backbone of caramel malt evens the beer out nicely. Very big alcohol burn is present. Each sip finishes with lots of pine and hops. Mouthfeel was sticky, but strangely soapy. Aside from that, it was a very good and easy drinking beer, despite the high alcohol content. DJMonarch (6845), Northwich, Cheshire, England

Aroma of caramel, sugary malts, fruity esters, and floral hops. Medium bodied with a very slight stickiness to the texture. Flavor of toffee countered by an assertive piney and grapefruit bitterness. This has a nice bite to it, and sort of reminds me of Pliny, but after 24 hours in the growler. Good stuff TwoDudes (77), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2009 I liked this beer. Very big mouthfeel with lots of very resiny hops. Nicely balanced, but it pales in comparison to the Full Frontal that I was drinking before it... Philip (436), Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2009 On tap at Piece. Enjoyed side by side with Moose Knuckle. The copper color of this is exceptional for the style and well done. The nose is grapefruit intermingled with rosemary, and the palate is where these flavors blend with demera sugar and buckwheat honey. Nice finish. A very drinkable IIPA, particularly for the level of alcohol, although not as drinkable and unctuous as the Moose Knuckle. FirmButtstone (47), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA
