| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 26, 2008 Cask conditioned as guest firkin at Dark Lord Days ’08. Pours a clear light copper amber brew with a thin and creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates, even for a cask drawn beer. Aroma of multi citrus zest, some crystal and amber malts, grapefruit with some toffee and pine. Quite complex for a lighter color beer. Taste is medium bodied, no carbonation with flavors of light caramel malt, plenty of citrus and grapefruit flavors and some nice sweet bitterness for a double IPA. Finish has a lingering sweet bitterness or orange zest that sticks around after the finish. Glouglouburp (2846), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 21, 2008 In short: A heavy well malted IIPA with a ton of resinous bitter hops. Excellent
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear dark-golden body with a medium off-white head
In long: Heavy caramel malt profile. Intense resinous citrusy hops. Intense bitterness. Like some kind of Corne Du Diable on steroids crossed with a Bell’s Hopslam. This is a sipper. More a sipper than a highly drinkable IIPA but this is nonetheless a very superior IIPA. Described on the menu as “A classic Egyptian style Pale Ale”?!?!? No kidding. Sure, whatever, probably very good to accompany traditional Pakistani style pork chops. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 19, 2008 Tasted 4/30/08. Second part of the sampler. Filtered with a dark amber hue. Taupe head. Peppery grassy hop aromas. Full bodied tart and crisp. So zesty. Lime and lemon citrus flavors. Tingling effervescence with moderate alcohol. Rolling smooth but bitter English dry hops. Toffee and slightly cooked sugar malts. Faint burn. More of a sticky sensation. Rolling and cloying. Not too bad. hopscotch (5493), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 14, 2008 Draft… DLD’08… Clear, textbook amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Big time grapefruit (golden and ruby red) along with juniper notes overpower all the malt essences. Medium to full-bodied with ticklish carbonation. Moderately sweet; medium to heavily bitter; mildly acidic with some alcohol warmth. Bitter, drying finish with a pinch of salt. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA

Thick amber color with good head and lacing. Nice hop floral smell. Good hop presence in the thick flavor. Well made and well balanced. Palate is nice and thick and and matches the flavor well. bdigital (586), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Draft @ DLD 08: Light copper in color with a small white head. Citrus based nose with some floral hop notes added...medium-full bodied mouth feel. Very nice flavor on this, not too dry or sweet but just perfectly rounded out citrus hop bomb with some malty accents to give it a balanced finish. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2008 Pours dark caramel to orange colored and is semi clear. Smell is fruity, hoppy and fresh with lemony, tropical notes. Taste is hop forward and well balanced at the same time. Just mildly bittered and the flavor is really great despite being a tad light bodied. Definitely recommended!
