Draft at the brewpub. Aroma is plenty fruitty with papaya and tangerine. Flavor is a nice mix of hoppy and fruitty with a decent hop bite. On the bitter fruit side than the malt side.

On tap. Pours amber color with fairly deanse beige colored head. Aroma is citrus, pine, caramel. Flavor is citrus pine, caramel. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finshed bitter. Good, but not nearly as good as the pizza!!

Pour is nice warm amber with a thick tan head...super piney and resiny nose...wow...taste is not as over the top as the aroma would lead you to believe...nice and sweet throughout...

Cat pee and pine aroma. Big, bold, boozy with tangerine notes. LOng chemical and pine finish, medium body. Technically good, not my style.

Resiny. Resin when I sniff it, resin coated the eyeball when gazing at the cloudy 12 oz. tulip; before it even hit the tongue I could tell there was going to be some sort of resiny stickiness that might try to seal my lips after one sip. This deceptive stickiness obviously confused the poor soul who rated this last,as it is not an underattenuated residually sweet DOUBLE IPA; quite dry in fact. One question KeithD, have you ever actually done that with a Sierra? Nice comparison, really, if you haven’t I think you should try that, and then try this beer again.

Draught at the brewpub
Muddy light amber color. Huge hoppy aroma, fruity (bitter oranges) and resiny. Medium body strength, malty, huge hopping, resiny and fruity, with light astringency. Excellent.

On Tap at Piece- This is a very well done double ipa. Dark yellow appearance in a tulip glass. Beautiful bouquet of citrus and flower hops and a nice malt profile. Slightly more bitter than I would prefer but still expertly crafted.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/20/07: Pours a transparent copper orange with a small froth of well-lacing light tan head. Aroma boasts big fresh resiny hoppiness with a nice sweet toasty maltiness. Body has good sweet caramel maltiness and fresh piny hoppy balance with nice citrusy notes. A good double IPA.
