Its everything I love about a IIPA. Booze to balance the hops, dry enough so the hops dont turn to a syrupy mess. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

hazy orange, creamy off white head, thick lace,
the perfect sweet sugar coated grapefruit aroma,
creamy body,
lots of hop flavor, blend of citrus and fruity tangerine flavors, light bitterness allows the hop flavor to take the lead, caramel sweetness is accented by the sweet hops,

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Huge grapefruit and pine resin nose wafting from the fluffy white head floating above the cloudy orange liquid...this promises much! The flavors are a pretty good battle between the over-the-top sweet caramel/toffee malts and the ever-so-slightly-more-over-the-top PNW hop profile. Not so much a battle between Good and Evil as a battle between Good and Even Better! The alcohol, while substantial is not intrusive or distracting. It does contribute to a fairly crisp dry finish, however, though the hop resins linger long upon my bruised-but-happy tongue! Ughsmash (4079), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 7, 2007 On tap at Piece. Clear peachy/amber pour with a moderate cap of whitish head. Aroma found sweet and juicy pears, grapefruit, caramel, and some darker alcohol notes.. intense and wonderfully entrancing! Flavor found sweet caramel, toffee, and grapefruit meat at the core with hefty doses of pear, grapefruit, and floral bitterness.. some alcohol and rummy fruits toward the back. Thicker-bodied and a touch heavy on the booze as it neared room temp.. wonderful beer overall! sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA

Lots of malty sweetness. I think i had 3 glasses of this. It doesn’t really stand out much from the other super hoppy Piece beers but that’s ok because they are all awesome. Copper/red with a off-white head.
