Big time grapefruit (golden and ruby red) along with juniper notes overpower all the malt essences. Medium to full-bodied with ticklish carbonation. Moderately sweet; medium to heavily bitter; mildly acidic with some alcohol warmth. Bitter, drying finish with a pinch of salt. JoeMcPhee (5025), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 19, 2009 Hazy amber-gold with a thin white head. The nose is quite piny and resiny. Lots of orange and citrus with a little bit of sweet pale malt, although it successfully avoids the booziness and stickiness of many DIPAs. A nice lingering pine and a lot of other fruity flavours. Fresh and pretty tasty.
