Jul 27, 2008 GABF 2007. A hazy golden beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of grass. The flavor is sweet with ntoes of grass, malt, and grapefruits. OK, but nothing special.

Muddy light amber color. Huge hoppy aroma, fruity (bitter oranges) and resiny. Medium body strength, malty, huge hopping, resiny and fruity, with light astringency. Excellent.

Oct 30, 2007 (Draught) Pours a clear yellow body with moderate off-white head. Aroma of syrupy pineapple, peaches, light perfume, and grapefruit. Flavor of citrusy/mango hops, caramel, and toffee.

Nov 18, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on 6/20/07: Pours a transparent copper orange with a small froth of well-lacing light tan head. Aroma boasts big fresh resiny hoppiness with a nice sweet toasty maltiness. Body has good sweet caramel maltiness and fresh piny hoppy balance with nice citrusy notes. A good double IPA.

May 14, 2008 Draft… DLD’08… Clear, textbook amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Big time grapefruit (golden and ruby red) along with juniper notes overpower all the malt essences. Medium to full-bodied with ticklish carbonation. Moderately sweet; medium to heavily bitter; mildly acidic with some alcohol warmth. Bitter, drying finish with a pinch of salt.

Sep 19, 2009 Hazy amber-gold with a thin white head. The nose is quite piny and resiny. Lots of orange and citrus with a little bit of sweet pale malt, although it successfully avoids the booziness and stickiness of many DIPAs. A nice lingering pine and a lot of other fruity flavours. Fresh and pretty tasty.
