Beer #33 of 42 at GTMW, 8-8-09. Nice dark amber brown, light bubbles, thin head. Catty and pineapple Amarillo hop smell. Amarillo all over the taste, and that’s what hopheads like. What the hell, I love it.

On tap @ Piece. I loved the noble hops aroma and flavor of this beer. Very floral. I could of just sat there with my nose in it for a while enjoying the aroma. Nice balance. Slightly sweet with a crisp hop finish.

Yet another big winner in their lineup of hoppy pale ales. This one seemed to be more citrusy, but it had enough backbone to carry it. Not sure if i would call it a DIPA, but thats just a nametag. I will definetly be hitting thins one up again.

Pour is ruddy golden with a thin off white head...smell is toasty and sweet with lots of pine and grapefruit...tast is faintly sweet with a great grapefruity bitterness coming through at the end...excellent!

Glad to be the first to rate this delicious offering from Piece. Medium-copper in color with an off-white head that is mostly diminishing. Strong grapefruity hop aroma, seems almost candyish - a good sign that this IPA would have a nice malt backbone. Thankfully, this was true: although the flavor is jam packed with citrisy, resinous hop goodness, the smooth, malty underlying flavor gives fantastic balance. A little too carbonated, but the mouthfeel is surprisingly thick. This gave me hop burps for quite a while afterwards - a sign of a good brew in my books.

On tap at Piece. Poured a clear medium golden with a short cap of off-white head. Nose was heavy on the citrus and pine hoppage with sweet, rum-laced caramel backing it... full and engaging. Hefty sweet caramel and lighter fruits (peach and apricot) at the core.. juicy with a higher level of bitterness to it. Creamy and juicy on the palate with a hair over medium-body on it.. full of flavor and had a nice flow to it.

GABF 2009, first beer fro Piece. Great beer. Huge hop flavor. PNW hop bomb, perfectly balanced bitterness & malty richness. Creamy mouhfeel. Big hop filled nose. One of my favorite @ GABF!!!

draft at brewpub. hard to see. dark red toffee with decent opacity. smell is all grapefruit hops. and some hard candy. taste is very malty sweet, most of the flavor is from the hops. super fruity. like hard rock candy. super mild and drinkable.
