Rootbeer-looking in color, clarity and head. Ceral lager aroma. Deep, dark grainy malt flavors - sweetish - without much roast. A little chemical on the backend.

Pint mug @ piece, poured a murky dark brown with creamy head which lasted a while, probably a bad pour by the server. Aroma of roasted malts, barley and caramel. Carbonation is light almost too light. The rosted malts are the majority of the taste here, finishes smooth and refreshing with a caramel chocolate taste. An alright beer, pretty average overall, have had beer brews from piece.

Nothing too exciting here, im not even sure if its better than your basic lager. Its smooth and stuff, but its just boring. Not as big and burth as some others like it, this is way more drinkable. Nice to try, but not something I will come back for. Also I am not a fan of that mug it gets served in, I dont care if its correct glassware or not.

This is a Munich Dunkel. Aroma of GR Noble hops, Euro malt, munich malt, and a clean lager profile mixed together well on the nose. Deep hazelnut brown with brilliant clarity, appropriate carbonation and nice lacing. Almost chocolate flavor but mysteriously not quite. Smooth and dry with no particular over the top out of balance ingredient. Seems properly attenuated and aged for a dunkel, and very sessionable. A very non-obtrusive dark bier. I will have it again. Served in a 16 oz. mug

Rather light for a dark beer, not quite as dark as a stout. Mild coffee taste and very small, foam head that dissipates quicky.

Did not really seem like a schwarzbier in my opinion. Poured dark brown with a thin head. Mild aroma, slightly sweet. Seemed very light, not one of Piece’s best beers.

an okay dark beer. more of an american style, thought not a true schwarz in my mind. a bit hoppy and malty. Decent.

On tap @ the Brew pub: Pours a dark brown with a white head. Aroma, roasted malts, chocolate and caramel. Flavor, roasty, nutty some caramel, with some earthy notes as well.
