Apr 13, 2007 Sampled at Schlafly’s Repeal of Prohibition Fest along with Beerdrenched. Pours cloudy brown / bronze with a tannish head. The aroma dark banana and vanilla with creme and meringue. Medium body with medium / sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with dark banana esters with a good amount of spice. The finish adds a bit smoke. A nice and unique dunkelweizen.

Apr 8, 2007 From the tap, sampled at the Schlafly "Repeal Of Prohibition" festival in the commemorative glass. This was a really nice dunkelweizen, clove, banana and bubblegum, sweet malts, caramel and toffee, very easy drinkability, just another well made brew from the Piece.

Apr 7, 2007 (draught at Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition Festival) deep hazy brown with tan head. Yeast and malt aroma. Flavor is yeast, slightly sweet malt along with cloves and bananas. Good dunkelweizen (not normally a style I like).

Apr 4, 2007 Sampled on tap at the brewpub. Amber red brown with a tan head. Sour aroma, fruity, malt, something funky. Sour flavors strawberry, fruit, bananna, carmel, light to medium body.

Apr 2, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. The body was a very cloudy brown with a light khaki colored head. The aroma had some strong bananas. There were also hints of vanilla and peaches. The taste had more strong bananas, but I had trouble finidng much else to taste. A decent version of the style, but I would like to see a little more complexity.

Mar 28, 2007 On tap at Piece... gotta be one of (if not the best) dunkelweizens out there! Just a wonderful presentation of it... deep murky brown with a long-lasting cap of creamy off-white head... in a tall, curvy glass! Semi-sweet chocolate first graces the nose.. with light molasses, deep banana, peppery spices, and other dark sweetness immediately behind. Semi-sweet chocolate and other dark sugars at the flavor core.. darker banana and peppery spice notes eminate outward and an earthy bitterness emerges near the mildly warm finish. Enjoyed the stronger spicy accents... medium-bodied with boatloads of flavor.. smooth middle. World-class concoction here!

Mar 19, 2007 from a small sample, pours dark brown with small white head. nose has bananas and cloves. flavor is much of the same but with some caramel notes. tasty but not my thing.
