| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 23, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a medium brown with a small beige head. Bananas and clove dominate along with traces of wheat and bubblegum. Well done. Cornfield (4938), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Darned decent dunkelweizen. It’s a cloudy dark chestnut brew with a bubbly, quickly disappearing tan head. It smells of aging bananas, dark caramel, wheat, and clove. Fairly smooth & creamy drinking. The flavor’s much the same as the aroma except that the bananas seem just a little older. Very good.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 13, 2007 Nice, banana, wheat aroma. Dark, reddish orange with no head. Very nice color. Excellent Dunkel weiss as is reflected in the style percentile. I can’t remember having a better Dunkel Weiss in Germany, and as such Jonathan Cutler did an outstanding job crafting this brew. Very nice beer. TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 8, 2007 On tap. Pours a hazy, creamy chestnut brown with rather thin off-white head. Intense brown-sugar malt aroma with notes of banana, clove, pumpernickel bread, and splash of citrus, Flavor almost exactly as the aroma suggests, only not quite as intense as the aroma. Still pretty flavorful though. Rather full-bodied for a hefe with a solid, creamy palate. Very, very nice. JoshuaB (427), Detroit, Michigan, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 5, 2007 One of the best Dunkels Ive had. Bananas and wheat predominate, but there is a nice appleish presence as well. Thick and hearty. Brigadier (1240), Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA

This was a bit pricy at $6 but the pour was generous. It took over twenty minutes to drink despite the fact it was so good I would have easily polished it off without trying. I can understand why Piece is one of the up and coming small brewpubs. Now if they can work on that whole overcrowding thing they had going on when I was there.
Aroma / Appearance - Banana, wheat, cherries and caramel highlight an attractive looking body. It was hard to get too many details due to the low light but it seemed to be a dark brown with a mocha colored head. Overall both the appearance and nose were very nice.
Flavor / Palate - Wheat, rye and cherries hit the palate first. After that came caramelly nutty flavors. The finish was sweet but not overly so. Overall the balance was well done. If it weren’t for the fact they are $6 each I could easily have drunk these all night. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
