typical appearance and mouthfeel for an IPA, albeit one which is above average. excellent fruits, like a nice pale ale poured from a cask, flavors are bursting through. well resined, this is sessionable yet challenging.

(10/13/08) Draught at the brewpub in Chicago. Hazy dark orange color with a small white head. Aroma of flowery, citrusy, hops and light piney notes. Fresh hoppy flavor with light malty notes in the background, citrus and some apricot and pineapple notes. Medium-bodied. Really nice.

Had to trip over a bunch of obnoxious hipsters and mobras to get to the bar. Didn’t know what it was when I ordered it, but glad with what I got. This is an IPA, not an ASA. Pint at the brewery, pours golden copper with a white head. Aroma is hops, flavor is citrusy hops with a good malt presence. Not the most complex flavor, but very solid. Great mouthfeel with particularly nice carbonation. Great beer. Now if only they could get rid of all the annoying people crowding the bar . . .

Didn’t know this was classified as an American Strong Ale...because it smells and tastes like a pretty damn good IPA. Pours cooper with a white head. Nice citrus aroma and great hop flavor. Just a little bit of bitterness, I thought this beer was great.

tap at Piece on 10/25/08 and had directly following wing nut.... muddled golden brown pour with a thin/medium just barely off-white head... fresh, crisp aroma of fruity grapefruit and citrus hops.... flavors continued on a similar note. citrusy hop profile and very fruity. little to no bitterness at all. mild carbonation, quite lively actually. lot less bite that wing nut as expected but this is plenty more drinkable. i might even like this more than wing nut despite what my store indicates.

gorgeous copper color. there was a good deal of grassiness to it, but the overall balance of hops and bitter make this one pretty solid.

I love this, its probably my favorite beer they do. Its true some of the other pales they have come with more flavor, but this is very well balanced. Very good feel to it as well, it doesnt leave you with a dry mouth and it isnt too watery or syrupish. Very good with about any pizza you can get.
