The aroma is loaded with citrus hops, hints of peach, and light pineaple. Pours a transparent amber with a small white head. Light sweet citrus up front with a big piney hop and light grapefruit hop finish. As it warms, hops mellow slightly and the sweet citrus presence increases. BBB63 (4271), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 24, 2006 Growler sampled with friends: Clean reddish hue with a lasting head and good lace. The aroma has a fresh hop character of Centential and Cascade, very citric and piney. A solid earthy base, pale and caramelized malt noticed on the nose as well. The flavor displays a sharp initial bitterness with a lot of Juicy Fruit character. A sticky sweet malt background added balance and depth. The finish has a mild bitter and spice quality. The mouthfeel is chewy and works well with the flavor profile. One solid brew and enjoyable. CaptainCougar (5532), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Fresh piney hoppy aroma has a good sweet pale malty balance. Body starts with nice, lightly sweet, sticky pale malty flavor. Finishes very smooth with fresh piney hop bitterness throughout. A nicely-balanced and enjoyable beer. erway (1002), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 5, 2006 Pours a deep unfiltered amber with a thick white head of froth. The aroma is all piney hops and a touch of caramel. The body is med. a bit light for the style. The flavors are pretty hop-dominated, but oxidation really detracts from the overall malt character. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. goldtwins (4085), Nesconset, New York, USA

I had to be greedy and go back for a few glasses of it. Poured a hazy golden yellow color with a small off-white head. The aroma was great. Huge and hoppy. Grassy, piney, citrus, and grapefruit all rolled together for a hop delight. Big piney hoppy flavor with some sweet malt as the back bone. It was so drinkable and tasty. More please. I think this one’s a bit underappreciated on this site. Pours a lovely mahogany hue. Nose is orange and brown sugar and floral hops. Palate reveals its citrus components with a solid malt backbone. Notes of rum and raisan come across amidst the hops. Well done. A bit more viscosity would improve this, although its solid drinking. tjthresh (1781), Greenfield, Indiana, USA

Pours yellow with a smallish white head. Some haze. Big American hop aroa. Guessing amarillo and simcoe. Each drink coated the tongue with hops the gave way to a pleasant malty backbone. It did come off a bit this and fizzy though. I certainly drink it again if given the chance. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Looked nothing like the piture on this site. My description also seems to differ from most others’. Peppery, citrusy nose with tons of grapefruit and pine. Malty flavor, but equally hopped for balance. Notes of honey and grapefruit rind. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Finishes bitter, tangy and dry.
