| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 30, 2006 Growler at the DL 2006 release party. The beer pours to a bright glossy orangish body with a white head. The aroma is hugely fruity, very nice. Peaces, mangoes, damn tasty. West-coastish. The palate is juicy and medium bodied. Superb! jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 17, 2006 From a 64 oz. growler purchased at the Piece Brewpub with a best if consume with 48 hours on side of the growler. Made a good appearance, poured a chill hazy orange hued golden with a billowing, pillowy gold speckled white head that settles into a clingy, thin pillowy lacing, good carbonation. Had a big citric, grassy hop aroma with a little caramel maltiness in the background. A slick, coarse lightish medium bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability. Had a big fresh grassy hop taste with some citric notes, a rolling bitterness on the tongue, a buried buttery, caramel maltiness and a dry, crisp hoppy finish.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 9, 2006 Sampled at Night of the Living Ales II. I am not sure what this is one is trying to be... seems like a well rounded APA. Solid hop bitterness balanced nicely by sweet malts. Finishes with a crisp bitter bite. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2006 A thin head tops this copper bodied ale. Strong grapefruit and resinous hops carry the aroma, masking the caramel malt to be found in the flavor. Nice strong lingering bitter finish. I see others have tagged this as a 3F Alpha King clone. I concur. Only it doesn’t quite make it. Still, a treat for this hop-head.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Feb 25, 2006 Updated: Mar 25, 2006I agree with sersdf, this is definitely a clone of Alpha King. Monster grapefruit hops a more tame version of the Wing Nut. I thought this was an apa and am a little surprised to see it classified as a strong ale. That might explain the pretty good buzz I had going. BTW, what the hell kind of picture of the beer is that? RERATE: This is better than I remembered. Soooo hoppy and well balanced. Perhaps it’s an IPA, definitely not an ASA. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA

RERATE: it wasn’t as good this time around. flavor gets soap halfway through sip, making for an unbalanced profile on the whole. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 26, 2005 This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of finely sized mostly lasting white colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained unnoted carbonation, was unnoted and unnoted in color. Its aroma contained notes of malty caramel . Its mouth feel is initially very tingly with a lingering tingly palate and a hoppy aftertaste. Its flavor contained mild caramel malt notes. An above average brew.
