Monster grapefruit hops a more tame version of the Wing Nut. I thought this was an apa and am a little surprised to see it classified as a strong ale. That might explain the pretty good buzz I had going. BTW, what the hell kind of picture of the beer is that? RERATE: This is better than I remembered. Soooo hoppy and well balanced. Perhaps it’s an IPA, definitely not an ASA. 1FastSTi (2568), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

The beer pours to a bright glossy orangish body with a white head. The aroma is hugely fruity, very nice. Peaces, mangoes, damn tasty. West-coastish. The palate is juicy and medium bodied. Superb! goldtwins (4083), Nesconset, New York, USA

I had to be greedy and go back for a few glasses of it. Poured a hazy golden yellow color with a small off-white head. The aroma was great. Huge and hoppy. Grassy, piney, citrus, and grapefruit all rolled together for a hop delight. Big piney hoppy flavor with some sweet malt as the back bone. It was so drinkable and tasty. More please. fiulijn (7330), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 5, 2007 Draught at the brewpub Cloudy light amber color. Nice hoppy aroma, less malty and more fruity than the Camel Toe. Medium body strength, malty, extremely hoppy. Similar to Camel Toe, just less strong and sweet, but as much hopped, fruity, resiny. Excellent. Frank (1067), Chicago, Illinois, USA

This one is nice clear reddish golden with a great head. Huge and hoppy but very crisp and drinkable. Not incredibly complex but that wasn’t what they were going for. argo0 (6939), Washington DC, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 2, 2003 Clear copper body with small beige head. Aroma is pine/grapefruit. Taste is intensely hoppy -- pine up front, grapefruit-floral in the back half. Moderately sweet. Medium/full body. Solid beer. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 23, 2003 This is more of an Imperial IPA, in the Dreadnaught sort of way. Bronze colored with fluffy off-white head. Massively hoppy nose. Grassy and citrusy with some caramel coming through, also. Creamy mouthfeel with caramel and toasty malts very pronounced. Hops all over this one, throughout the entire taste. Dry on the roof of my mouth and biting hard at the end. Awesome American hophead treat! JMerritt (1320), Macomb, Illinois, USA

Moderate-to-high bitterness, some graham cracker malt sweetness. Bitter, resinous finish. Good, but only in small quantities.
