Dark black color, with no head, with a faint roasty, floral hop nose, with a hint of black chocolate, a mild dark coffee in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a roasty, mochaish vanilla-like character, with a faint black coffee, chocolatey accent, hint of burnt toast, light floral hop leafiness, leading towards a roasty, lingering bitterness finish.

Apr 25, 2008 On tap. Pours nearly black with a medium tan colored head. Aroma is chocolate, carmel, roast. Flavor is coffee, choclate, roasted malt. Palate is fairly full bodied, medium carbonation, finished bitter. lacking in the flavor category, but decent.

Mar 20, 2008 This is sort of a dud, not much taste at all. Very weak at first and a little smokiness, thats about it. I have all the respect in the world for the brewpub but this beer should go the way of the dodo.
