Draught at the brewpub
Black color. Nice milky aroma of roasted malt. Dry mouthfeel, with a milky roasted malt flavor, some dark chocolate too. Luckily the roasted malt is not too strong. Good.

Kind of a thin stout, a watery near black with little head to write of. The aroma was a subdued roasted coffee with some dark fruitiness. The flavor was a light roasted barley with coffee, bittersweet chocolate, and a nutty bitterness presumably from the hops, leaving a sharp, bitter finish.

Small sample at the brewpub. Opaque and oily, tiny ring of foam. Bright chocolaty nose, hints of caramel and lime. Bit too much carbonation in the body, which tastes of grapes and prunes a bit but mostly bitter mocha espresso. Needs more body! But not bad.

Deep brown hue with tan head and some lace. The aroma hints of coffee, mocha, floral hops, oatmeal and grains, earthy. The taste has a mlaty burnt and sweet nature with bitter coffee tones. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Solid coffee stout, nice.

Tap at Piece Post DLD ... deep red brown ... sweet toasted malt nose ... big soft chocolate ... lots of malts ... little caramel ... nice but not deep and rich and dark enough.

On tap at Piece. Poured a clear, deeper brown with a short beige head... leaving a loose-bubbled ring after a short while. Arome was of very sweet chocolate.. lightly-roasted with plum sweetness as well... some earthy bitterness. Flavor was of dry-roasted milk chocolate with some grainy herbal bitterness... unexpected alcohol presence toward the back along with some of the fruits from the aroma. Lighter-bodied with grainy chocolate notes... sweet with too much alcohol evident. Not a very good stout.

Poured opaque black with a tan head and some lacing. Chocolate, coffee and slightly milky aroma. Watery, heavily carbonated taste of coffee and some roasted malt.

Draft. Poured an opaque dark brown color with a light brown head. The aroma was subdued with only whiff of chocolate and nuts. Medium bodied and slightly sweet. I tasted toffee, roasted nuts, and a hint of tobacco.
