Piece Fornicator Pale Bock

Draft at Brewpub. Pours a nice clear gold. Nose is a little spicy and sweet, mild hop note in the back. On taste, alcohol jumps out, as does an unwelcome and odd sweetness. It is drinkable, but I wish it was more dry. Meh.

Tap at the brewpub: Golden pour with good clarity and bad head retention. Sweet aroma with some lagered fruit notes. Some sweet apple grains and dough. Slick and sweet body.Some honeyish dough and peppery alcohol. Perhaps some mild fusels. Some residual peppery alcohol and mild buttery notes into the back. A bit off, but somehow drinkable.

It has been a long time since they had this beer on tap. Pours gold with a very thin head. Sweet aroma of some malt, but not much else. Sweet flavor as well, but a little interesting. Hides the 8% ABV very well. Okay beer, but not as good as their other selections.

pretty lousy. smells and tastes like alcohol. this reminds me of why i used to dislike bocks a long time ago. super lager flavor. disgusting cloying sweetness.
