Maybe the best pint I have had at Piece, although some of the higher abv’s that come in snifters are pretty good. hombrepalo (777), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Crisp and refreshing. Lots of citrus. I am a fan. I have had too many pints of this a couple of times :) houseofwares (21), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Obviously tried it on draught, as they don’t allow growlers of this beer to be sold. On the nose, citrus hop aromas emerge with grapefruit, and lime as the malt lingers in the bakground. The hops translate in an almost herbacious way, but the citrus is still driving the flavor. Large amount of bitterness all the way through to the finish. After cooling down, the malt has a bit more to say in the flavor, but overall a little out of balance. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2007 On tap and enjoyed a couple pints with JSquire and MrFacto: Slight hazy light amber with a fading head but left very good in it’s wake. The aroma has notes of fresh citric and herbal hops, biscuity malt, sage and mint, and dusty yeast esters.
The taste starts with a hoppy and fruity overtone, fresh resiny hops abound. Lovely soft and chewy pale malt gets ya in the middle. The finish has a light pepper and clove tone. The mouth feel is lively, crisp and refreshing. A very enjoyable beer indeed and I can see why it won a medal at the GABF. I dig it and you need to get ya some. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 31, 2007 On tap @ the Brew pub: Pours a copper color with an off white head. Aroma, citrus and floral hops, pale malts. Flavor, bright floral and grapefruit notes, some caramel, a little thin, grassy on the finish. The finish was a little harsh and unbalanced on the bitter side.
