The aroma is sweet grassy combined with notes of peaches, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry grassy and bitter finish. Rastacouere (5565), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 8, 2008 Objectively speaking:
A remarkably well-brewed pale ale with brilliantly extracted hop flavours.
I like:
Full-malted, but the sharp, cleansing carbonation attenuates the thickness impression. Sandy, spicy, resinous nose. Clean, bready, toasted malts. Rather complex hop profile. Very interesting for one so small. Beautiful hazy amber colour. Lacy white head. Great balance between dryness and sweetness.
I dislike:
While attenuating thickness, the hard bubbles diminish drinkability because they do bite!

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2007 On tap and enjoyed a couple pints with JSquire and MrFacto: Slight hazy light amber with a fading head but left very good in it’s wake. The aroma has notes of fresh citric and herbal hops, biscuity malt, sage and mint, and dusty yeast esters.
The taste starts with a hoppy and fruity overtone, fresh resiny hops abound. Lovely soft and chewy pale malt gets ya in the middle. The finish has a light pepper and clove tone. The mouth feel is lively, crisp and refreshing. A very enjoyable beer indeed and I can see why it won a medal at the GABF. I dig it and you need to get ya some. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 27, 2007 Poured hazy medium amber with a dusting and a ring of white head. Grapefruit and pine stand out in the aroma.. some caramel and bready notes beneath.. fills out with warmth.. quite enticing! The flavor was of juicy pears and grapefruit, becoming rather thick across the middle.. high pine, grapefruit, and pineapple bitterness all around.. sufficient caramel base. Creamy carbonation and medium-bodied with decent balance between the soft middle and rather high bitterness at the edges. Dry finish. GeneralGao (3078), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear medium orange color. The head was two fingers high and off white. Fruity aroma that included the likes of apricot, orange, and a bit of grapefruit. Light to medium bodied with moderate bitterness. There was some caramel up front accented by orange, grapefruit, and a hint of sweaty hop. All nicely balanced. drewbeerme (2315), Chicago, Illinois, USA
