Bittersweet fruity tropical passionfruit flavor with some nice underlying caramel. Medium dry lasting bittersweet grapefruit finish. Solid apa.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear medium orange color. The head was two fingers high and off white. Fruity aroma that included the likes of apricot, orange, and a bit of grapefruit. Light to medium bodied with moderate bitterness. There was some caramel up front accented by orange, grapefruit, and a hint of sweaty hop. All nicely balanced. inkubus27 (251), Highland, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 11, 2009 Nice caramel color, huge american style hop character... the nose seemed a little subdued.. maybe that was just me though... pretty good beer, but seemed more like an IPA than an APA BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Nice simcoe and cascade nose, very enjoyable and flora and makes you just want to smell the beer for awhile before tasting it. This is very well balanced, with some bitterness coming out and cutting through the sweet caramel malt body. A nice output. MoDog (927), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2009 On tap at Piece, served in a nonik. Dark amber pour with almost no head. Minimal lacing. The aroma included strong notes of grapefruit and citrus. Just a touch of toasted caramel. The flavor was also very hop forward. I love hop bombs, but this could have used a little more malt. Medium-bodied, but slightly watwery. Mild carbonation. Nice and hoppy, but lacking body. illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2009 Draft at brewpub. Pours hazy amber with a white ring that dissipates to a ring. Nice strong fruity ester and floral hop aroma. Flavor of caramel countered by a solid orange/grapefruit bitterness. I like how the residual sweetness joins it all together. A solid APA. satan165 (597), River Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 21, 2009 nose of light mango and lime, some pine. flavor is lightly metallic, some hops but little of the fruit found in the aroma. appearance is cloudy amber. palate sizzles with bitterness. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jun 20, 2009 Holy crap. I was hoping Piece would have Wingnut when we went there. I’m glad they didn’t. Full Frontal is one of the best beers I have ever had...ever. Grapefruit and a bit of pineapple just jump out of the glass. Ridiculous balance of hops and malt cuts the bitterness of the hops and just lets the flavor dominate. I can’t say enough good things about this beer. I love it....
