JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA Aug 1, 2004 Very hoppy American pale. Dark orange with a billowy, sticky head. Well balanced until the massively hoppy finish. Well crafted and fresh! jaymobrown (1343), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 20, 2004 A brown color -- sort of like leather. Dark malt flavors. Really smooth and easy to drink. A bit of fizz, a little bit of bitteress. Pretty good. NobleSquirrel (1100), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 5, 2004 Updated: Jul 14, 2004Really dark, about the color of strong iced tea. Very floral aroma. Taste was nice and very drinkable. It was peculiar in that it seemed like the taste should have been less-muted, almost like they had added water to it or something. Who knows... Still, an enjoyable beer, would have went well with Pizza.... SkyinBrian (429), Collinsville, Illinois, USA Jul 5, 2004 a nice easy drinking ale. dark for the style. nicely balanced. a pretty normal beer but it smells really good. booyaatribe (453), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 1, 2004 Quite dark for a pale ale. The waitress said it was British-style pale ale, which is why it’s so dark. Now I’m really confused. Not that I’d ever really need to have this one again at Piece- what with the other great brews they’ve got. iwantalambic (1385), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Feb 25, 2004 Draught at the brewery: pours an interesting hazy purple, red-brown. Nice hoppy aroma with some hints of grapefruit and some floral qualities as well. Outrageously persistent head. Body is a bit over-carbonated, but does offer nice citrus flavours and smooth finish.
