I might have been able to sneak my way into just a little taster of this tonight. I am so glad I was able to try it, because I was so disappointed I missed it earlier this year. Just from the little taster I got, it poured black with a tan head. Nice aroma. Very little carbonation, but the beer was very smooth. Nice bourbon flavor. This was really enjoyable I look forward to have similar beers from them in the future. Thanks Andy.

Nice black pour with a huge great tan head. Great bourbon nice smell. Flavor is bourbon and malt and roasted nuts. No present alcohol. Great thick creamy dense palate with little to no carbonation. Stellar beer!!

Draft... DLD’08... This beer rocks!... Pours pitch black with a mid-sized, creamy, khaki-colored head. Fantastic retention. The aroma is of chocolate and sourmash with intoxicating vanilla pipe tobacco and coconut. Full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and pillow-soft carbonation. Lots of acidic sourmash and mildly sweet chocolate. Very smooth and mellow with no alcohol burn. The wood has rid the Big Black Mariah of any “rough-around-the-edges” aspects. Chocolaty, bourbony, lightly tart, woodsy finish. World class beer!

This was my first time to Piece and it was nice to see my favorite style on tap out of a bourbon barrel,it was a nice roasty flavor and very rich with a creamy head and nice chocolate overtones and abv was well hidden but the bourbon flavor was really present overall very enjoyable.CHEERS!

Big thanks for the chance to try this beer! Pours black with a light, lasting tan head. Smell is lightly roasty and big bourbon with not much alcohol at all. Taste is rich, roasty bourbon and super smooth. Very drinkable and no heat from the alcohol getting in the way. Fantastic beer.
