Pours a cloudy dark golden color with a huge white head filling the hefe glass. The intense sulfur aroma of the yeast was my favorite thing about the beer. It has a strong banana finish to it. Yummy. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 3, 2007 Draught during my Dark Lord excursion. Pours an extra cloudy yellow with a nice white head. There’s a strong, sweet banana presence and light cloves with a little bit of wood in the aroma. Nicely rich and refreshing in the way of flavor. Sweet banana, yeasty flavors and a tasty spiced note hit the palate up front, but it doesn’t finish quite as juicy. The brew falls on a papery, husky flavor. Pretty nice though. I thought it was just as good as many authentic German examples and I also liked the slightly heavier palate. TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2007 On tap. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with virtually no head or carbonation. Tart vegetal aroma is over the top and smells of rotting plant matter. Fortunately, it tastes a lot better than it smells, with all the appropriate hefe characteristics there in spades -- lemony citrus, fresh bread, banana, and an extra dose of spicy clove. Medium body and surprisingly lively palate. A great-tasting hefe that misses that mark aesthetically.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 28, 2006 Nice dark amber & cloudy pour. Plenty of strong wheat aroma with fruity scents. Nice malty profile with spices. Surprisingly good beer from a place I had never heard of. Thanks to my little sister for introducing me to Piece! Ughsmash (4044), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 29, 2006 On tap at Piece. This was an unexpectedly great beer! Poured a deeper hazy golden with a cap of white head. Nose was ideal for a hefe... bananas, tart wheaty notes, some pale malts, and peppery spices. Flavor followed suit, adding a candy-like sweetness and deeper spices.. really enjoyed it. Sweet malts were well-balanced with tart notes and spices. Rather heavily-bodied for the style. Really good stuff! RAYBOY01 (1847), Chicago, Illinois, USA
