Pour is clear golden amber with a thin white head...smell is deliciously toasty at first with a nice resin note...taste is lightly toasty with a great chewy mouthfeel...a nice light resiny bitterness in the finish...really good...

(10/15/08) Draught at the brewpub in Chicago. Dark hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma of citrus hops and some biscuity malt notes. Bitter hoppy flavor full of grapefruit and light sweeter malty tones with some fruit notes. Medium to full-bodied. A decent IPA.

Poured cloudy amber with off white head. Aroma of grapefuit, citrus, hops (wet) and malty carmel hints. Taste is thick grapefruit, yeasts, a bit of spices ending with carmel. Strong but in a good way. One of the better Piece brews I’ve had the chance to try.

tap at Piece on 10/25/08.... reddish toffee brown pour, semi-transparent, with a medium off-white head.... piney citrus hops upfront in the nose and well supported by some biscuity caramel malt....citrus hop flavors which start off slight bitter and doesn’t build too much from that point but rather maintains its intensity. some backing malts keeps it balanced. smooth with medium carbonation....a very well made DIIPA.

Pours a orange color with a thin head. Nice aroma of grapefruit and pine. Very good hoppy flavor and very bitter. Great stuff. I might have had more than one :)
