Eyedrinkale (3091), Beer Town, New York, USA Apr 25, 2008 Brown with a tiny head. When you drink it, you would never guess its a bitter. Tastes like like a nut brown. A decent beer for a beer, as its nutty and sweet. Caramel and peanuts. the rating is for the beer, not for the style its supposed to be.
red éric (1379), montréal, Quebec, Canada May 27, 2008 Dark brown color, with a beige head, toasty, biscuity malt nose, with some caramel, toffee, biscuity dough accents, light floral hop aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasted, caramelised malt character, with a toffee, nutty accent, a faint nutmeg spiciness, some dried raisin, fig fruitiness, hint of flowery hop citrusy, leading towards a malty, faint hop bitterness finish. drewbeerme (1710), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 20, 2008 on tap. pours cloudy amber with white head. aroma is malty-nutty-biscuity. flavors are clean nutty malts, toasted. very smooth and easy drinking bitter. this is a nice bitter and i hope to try it on cask someday. sneagrams3 (1342), St. Louis, Missouri, USA May 19, 2008 Tasted 4/30/08. Semi unfiltered amber brown. Subtle sweet malt smell. Watery mild ale like. A bit of dough in there too. Just not my favorite but still well made and tastes decent - it is just a bit underplayed for me overall. lb4lb (1271), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 28, 2008 Pours a brownish muddy chocolate color with a filmy white head. Smell is mild and well balanced between lightly aromatic hops and malt. Taste is fruity, with light hops but sweet and creamy as well. Very sessionable with prickly, bubbly carbonation. Pretty good beer.
