Kind of borderline on being a pale ale, kind of lacked some of the more traditional hop bitterness, instead replaced with American hops. A little too sweet on the matliness, with just a hint of light white fruits. Not the best beer on tap today.

Tough to describe this one because it was all over the place. Had some chocolate flavors, some biscuit and caramel... zero bitterness... and was dark brown in color... meh, not bad

nose is somewhat sloppy, wet malts. appearance is burnished amber. flavor is close to balanced with more bland grain and some general bitterness devoid of any real esters. hint of chocolate comes and goes along with diluted caramel. a tad metallic as well. things improve as beer warms and some muted fruits appear. seems more like an EPA then a bitter to me.

Draft at brewpub. Pours light amber with an off white head. Brtish ale esters and caramel in the nose. Flavor of caramel and toffee countered by an English muted hop bitterness. Finish has some notes of tea and pithy type flavor that I did not care for (although it was weak). Ok, my least favorite of the 8 I tried.

A light murky brown ale with a thin white head. A light caramel malt with light green pepper notes. In mouth, a sweet and light malt, with treacle, fruity esters, a bit of ripe peach. Light bodied. On tap at brewpub, May 18 2009.

Tap at Piece Post DLD ... copper light fruit malt ... quite sweet up front with a big hop linger ... nice pine hop kick .

Tap at piece. Amber pour, small head. Caramel, cracker, hops and maybe bit of an herbal note. Flavor is typical of the style. Nothing to write home about. Doses of caramel, brown sugar and a lightly bitter finish. Meh.

On tap at Piece and served in a pint glass. This beer poured a darker golden hue with a short-lived head of off-white bubbles. Almost no lacing. The aroma consisted of sweet grainy malt and mildly herbal hops. The flavor was made up of caramel, moderately sweet malt, and a quick, clean hop finish. The mouthfeel was light and somewhat watery. Very drinkable. A nice session-style brew. Washes down the pizza quite nicely.
