Bottle, ZBF 2005. Gold, thin white head and moderate condition. Faintly phenolic in the nose, low sweet malt and some more phenols in the mouth and a grainy finish with hints of plastic

ZBF 2005. Pours a cloudy dark golden, with a white head. Aroma is picy, and very yeasty. Taste is sweet malty, and spicy. A long spicy aftertaste

Peach coloured beer; good, lasting and very white head. Glue, spicey and vegetable nose. Oppressive vegetable taste - like chewing on raw scorzanera or something similar; garden herbs; not necessarily comestible ones. And there’s a lot of cookie malt beneath, giving more volume than to be expected from a 6% beer. Appropriately not heavy, but I hate the aggressive initial taste & MF. Not my favourite. I wonder if it’s the brewers, as this is a commissioned beer for some puppeteer (litteral!) with big plans.
