May 13, 2002 It’s pretty hot down here in Florida, and I needed a good thirst quencher...this one hit the spot. Cloudy, orange appearance, with some sediment floating in it? Honey, oak, malt aroma, the middle is not thin at all, which I really loved, and it finished w/ a carbonated, bitter, hint of orange peel. Very surprised by this brew, I could drink it all day by the grill if it weren’t 1.99$ for a 8oz bottle.

Aug 6, 2002 Interesting. There’s an unusual but pleasant candylike note, presumably from the chestnuts, in the aroma and flavor; otherwise it’s pretty ordinary.

Oct 16, 2006 This beer is remarkable ’un-french’. A rating that I am sure some, who have been forced to drink 1664 in a local braserrie, can apprecaiate. The nutty hint in the aroma and the aftertaste give this beer a unique and thoroughly enjoyable signature. Cheers.
