nainai (3), paris, France does not count Nov 3, 2003 The taste the chesnut is adding feels incredible. I loved it! In a hot place (like corsica), it's light enough to not asleep you, and it's very good to drink when eating "charcuterie". Davhgbrew (418), Boca Raton, Florida, USA May 13, 2002 It’s pretty hot down here in Florida, and I needed a good thirst quencher...this one hit the spot. Cloudy, orange appearance, with some sediment floating in it? Honey, oak, malt aroma, the middle is not thin at all, which I really loved, and it finished w/ a carbonated, bitter, hint of orange peel. Very surprised by this brew, I could drink it all day by the grill if it weren’t 1.99$ for a 8oz bottle. Nagash (199), Paris, France Apr 21, 2002 Spicy, and a really good taste. A pleasant drink Admiral (524), Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 6, 2002 Interesting. There’s an unusual but pleasant candylike note, presumably from the chestnuts, in the aroma and flavor; otherwise it’s pretty ordinary. Dezzilu (170), Versailles, France Oct 16, 2006 This beer is remarkable ’un-french’. A rating that I am sure some, who have been forced to drink 1664 in a local braserrie, can apprecaiate. The nutty hint in the aroma and the aftertaste give this beer a unique and thoroughly enjoyable signature. Cheers.
