Orange/amber color with a small head of off-white bubbles. Aromas of pale malt and orange blossoms. Dry toasted malt with a bit of corn silage in the flavors. The ambers are not friendly tonight. Somewhat earthy and a bit of tartness.

Dark amber body with a thin off white head. The aroma was malty and alcoholic with some cheap orange juice. There was also a little bit of rotting almonds. The taste was sweet old toffee and rotting almonds. There was also a little bit of orange peel, but it hides behind the nasty malt body. This seems flat and under carbonated. There is a strange slightly tart note.

Sampled during the Autumn Brew Review in Minneapolis, MN as Choc Pietro Piegari Amber. Pours a clear golden amber colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some light roasted nuts, flowery hops and a touch of chocolate. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, some flowery hops a touch of roasted nuts and spice. Finish is slightly metallic with some flowery hop and malt aftertaste.

Bottled. Poured lighter amber with a well-retained cap of beige head. The aroma picked up very sweet caramel and nutty notes with light floral, honey, and chocolatey accents.. almost soda-like. The flavor was sweet as well with nutty notes leading.. tartness surrounded, but I couldn’t place it.. again some chocolate and honey.. finished quick, but tacky. Lighter-bodied with rather high carbonation on the palate.. grainy, especially as it warmed up.. not a whole lot of goodness here, but it was non-offensive.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Sent in a picture to be uploaded. Pours with a small, off-white heead and an amber body. Aroma of cinnamon, caramel, and raw malts. Taste is sour malts and wheeat. Lively bubbles, dry mouthfeel.
